Bakery updates

Hurray! Finally I’m at a point where I can cook in my new kitchen, and let me tell you – it feels amazing. The first thing that I chose to make? Cardamom rolls, obvs!

There are a few quirks that I’m getting used to, but I always find when I’m working in a new space, it takes a while to get accustomed to new equipment and a new layout. It will take a little time, but soon I will have a home for everything.

I’m also really enjoying my new Rofco oven, which has a little peephole on the front so I can spy on the buns as they are cooking. It really makes me think of The Life Aquatic for some reason, and I’m sure I will be writing a lot more about it as I get more proficient with using it.
