Every year at this time I’m always blown away by all the swoon-worthy autumnal fruits and colours. A couple of weeks ago we were in Tristan’s parents small holding and I just had to take some pictures, because the tones of all the leaves and berries were just so pretty, I couldn’t resist. Some fruits were more on the way in and others on the way out, both of which serve as a nice reminder of the joys of eating seasonally and embracing the combinations that mother nature lets grow together.
While the autumn berries are at their most perfect, I’m going to be making lots of batches of crumble bars, probably substituting apple for pear as we’ve got such a windfall.
