Learning to pot

I have a very vivid memory of being a little girl and visiting the pottery studio that was around the corner from our house. I was fascinated by the potter, wheel throwing various shapes in his workshop (maybe that is partly what has contributed to my lifelong love of artist studios and craft workshops…)

Earlier this year I took evening classes, and after many mishaps, got to grips with a little bit of throwing. I was particularly taken with making small things, so created quite a few egg cups, but also some bigger lidded pots, and a few bowls too.
